My dance career started very early — I always say I can only do one thing, but I do it well: dance. From ballet to contemporary, salsa, reggaetón, urban, bachata and afro, I have performed in national and international shows, worked as a background dancer, and have run my own school since 2019. To me dance is a constant development of body, mind and self-love — and teaching is my greatest passion. On Fridays I co-teach our new Rueda Cubana class for beginners alongside Nestor.

I have been dancing since I was 6. At 7 I entered the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School in Havana; at 13 the preparatory and development groups for contemporary dance at the National Theatre; at 17 the variety and musical school of Teatro América. At 19 I was part of the second show of Tropicana Havana. At 20 I started touring all of Cuba with dance companies and working at Tropicana Santiago de Cuba. At 23 I moved to Spain with the Tropicana show, worked almost everywhere in the country and joined the most complete international jazz event. In Barcelona I performed in the musical ‘Sombras de La Habana’ and ran my own school — which helped me understand the art of dance even more deeply.

Hey, I'm Nestor! Born and raised in Cuba, I have been dancing and training for over ten years — and it has been an incredible journey. From the streets of Havana to dance festivals all over Europe, I have soaked up everything I could. Salsa Cubana and styling are my passions, and I bring you the energy, the taste and the style you need on the dance floor. With a few tips and tricks I'll help you sharpen your posture and style so you shine in every dance. On Fridays I co-teach our Rueda Cubana class with Aisha — salsa in a circle, with a caller and constant partner switches. Let's groove, learn and have a lot of fun together!

I have been dancing since I can remember — starting as a kid and growing through every style I crossed paths with: hip hop, reggaetón, dancehall, house, urban fusion. For me dance isn't a choreography to memorise, it's a language for everything words can't say — attitude, confidence and the courage to take up space. In my classes it's about grooves, isolations and presence: everyone should find their own flow instead of being a copy. At Abailar I lead Hip Hop Fusion and Reggaetón on Tuesdays and share Urban Push on Thursdays with rotating guest teachers — always open to new energy in the studio.

At home in salsa and bachata — two dances that have been with me for years and that keep teaching me. For me a good dance starts with connection: listening, leading, following, breathing. The figures only come afterwards. My focus is salsa partnerwork and grounded, sensual bachata: precise leading rather than showy moves, clear contact rather than busy steps. At Abailar I teach bachata on Thursdays from 20:00 to 21:00 at open level — one style, one hour, one honest movement to the music.
